Deleting a Website

  I am trying to delete my old blog site but the email address that I used to create it is no longer active and I am locked out of the account.

  Hi there,

  I am trying to delete my old blog site but the email address that I used to create it is no longer active and I am locked out of the account.

  To delete a WordPress.com site, one needs to log-in WordPress.com. And as you do not have access to the email address that was connected to WordPress.com you have to recover your account (See this support document on Account Recovery: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/). However, you will again require the email address to do that. So, I am not sure how to proceed in such a situation.

  Thus, I am adding modlook tag in this thread for staff intervention. They are the ones who can help you with best possible solution to this issue. Please share the username and/or website that you wish to delete for staff’s reference.

  Moreover, I will subscribe to this thread too to understand how to deal with such issues for my own understanding. :)
