deleting a website

  I am the manager of a brew pub. The previous manager made a wordpress site for the business. Most of the info on the site is now wrong. I do not have the credentials to access and change it. I would like to disable or delete the site. How can i go about doing this?

  I’m going to tag WordPress.com staff to confirm the account who owns the website, and then we can work from there.

  Are you still in contact with the original administrator? If so, once their account is confirmed, could you please ask them to sign in to their account, or follow the Account Recovery process if they’ve forgotten their login details: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  Once they’ve reclaimed access to their account, they would be able to transfer ownership of the WordPress.com blog to you: https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/

  Where you could delete it: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

  Hi there,

  This website is owned by another WordPress.com user and we cannot delete it or take it down per your request.

  As @torres126 already mentioned, you can contact the owner and ask them to either transfer the site to your account or delete it.
