Deleting a website
-
I am writing on behalf of the Liliane Foundation (Netherlands).
About a year ago the Benie Foundation was merged with the Liliane Foundation. Just recently we discovered that the Benie Foundation still has a website online, hosted on wordpress.com. We would like to take this website down but we have no username or password.
Also the members of the Benie Foundation arent’t aware of this website, they have no login credentials as well.
How can we take down this website? (https://beniefoundation.wordpress.com/)
I just created the account beniefoundation2 just to contact support and will delete this account later. Here is an news article about the merge: https://www.oneworld.nl/werelddoeners/benie-foundation-gaat-op-liliane-fonds

Hi,
If you have no username or password, you can access your account using the Account Recovery Form: https://wordpress.com/wp-login.php?action=recovery
If you want to delete your site, please refer to the following support page: https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/

Thank you.
I tried using the password recovery form a couple of days ago but that also didn’t work because we do not have an emailaddress, transaction ID, activation URL or authentication codes.

The first thing to check would be to find out if there’s any chance at all you can get a hold of the email address used to create the WordPress.com account which was used to setup https://beniefoundation.wordpress.com/ — it sounds like you may have already done that though.
As a last effort, you may be able to file a legal form to see if the site can be removed. Since the foundations have merged, I think you may have a reasonable claim. The form is available at https://automattic.com/dmca-notice/ and you should take care to include all the details requested and also explain the situation or link to this thread.
