Deleting account

  I want to delete one of my WordPress accounts, but the website (https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/) is telling me I only have the option of leaving the account inactive. Is there a way to delete an account?

  No, you can delete the site, but you cannot delete the account.
