Deleting Account

  I want to delete my account so I can create a new one. This account is so old I’m not sure if I can just update it? Please let me know what you think is best.

  Hi there,

  We allow both the site name or email address to be updated so it’s very possible you can update your current account without needing to start over. To change your username see:

  Change Your Username

  Or update your email from:
  https://wordpress.com/me/account

  If you do want to delete your account visit:

  Close Your Account

  Note that if you close your account the email address on the account cannot be reused for 30 days and the site name associated with the account cannot be reused.
