Deleting Account

  I am new to this……I set this account up using an existing company website domain. However, I want to cancel this account because I really want to change the user name, but it understand that I cannot do so.

  I would like to delete this and start new. (Learn more about building this website and WordPress BEFORE starting).

  If I delete this account, will it mess up the existing website? Note, I have not started working on adding pages.

  Kindly let me know if deleting this account in this situation will not cause problems to the existing website. I just want to be absolutely sure before I delete. THANKS in advance!

  Actually, it’s possible to change your username without closing the account:

  Change Your Username

  During this process, the old username will become unavailable and changing back won’t be possible. So just be sure you want to make the change before proceeding.

  If I delete this account, will it mess up the existing website? Note, I have not started working on adding pages.

  Closing the account will also delete any sites you own and mean the address is unavailable for use, even on a new site:

  Close Your Account

  Based on what you have said, closing the account won’t be necessary though :)
