  You have tried from this page? https://wordpress.com/me/account/close

  Do you see the “Close account” button on that page? if you click it do you get an error message of some kind? Thanks for the additional info!

  Hi I get the notification that says ‘Sorry, there was a problem closing your account. Please contact support.’
