Deleting an email follower
-
One of my students has followed me with his email account. How can I delete this? I have changed my settings to ‘private’ now but need to ensure he does not receive my posts in his email account in future. Many thanks for any help. I do not want to delete my site.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Once you’ve set your entire site to Private, it “breaks” any delivery of new post notifications to followers who were receiving notifications when your site was Public. The only people who will receive notifications now are those people whom you have invited to view your site and subsequently subscribe.
However, Staff advised in the past that once a site was made Private, they would be willing to remove anyone who may have been following previously (in spite of the above) to increase your comfort level, so I’ve tagged this for Staff assistance.
Please write here the email address in question in a normal fashion. It will be redacted by the forum software and will be visible only to Staff.

Thank you so much for your positive reply! This is a student who has serious behaviour issues. It was my last day at the school yesterday and you will see from my site stats that there was a huge boom in views yesterday. I’ve also had several comments from other student friends of his. I can only assume they have spent an inordinate amount of time ‘googling’ me! Although there is nothing I have put on my site that I am concerned about, it is inappropriate for them to be contacting me in this way and I need to safeguard myself professionally.
The email address to be deleted is:
(email visible only to moderators and staff)
Many thanks again!

Hi there,
I removed that follower from your private site. As justjennifer mentioned, when you set your site to private your followers from before won’t be able to view it or get notifications about your blog posts. You can invite viewers to your site if you’d like them to view and follow it now. Please let me know if I can do anything more to help with that. :)
