deleting an old blog
-
I have deleted all content on this blog and set up a new blog (because I wanted to upgrade to 3.0 and was told this could be done). However, it is the old blog (name only) that comes up on a Google search. I read how to permanently delete the old blog but since I am using the same title, exact content and such for the new one I’m afraid I will delete the new blog as well if I check “permanently delete” and I know this cannot be undone. Any suggestions?

The site linked to your user name is a private WordPress.com blog, but your question seems to refer to WordPress.org blogs because wp.com blogs can not be upgraded to 3.0. On wp.com our versions are automatically done.
If you are asking about wp.ORG blogs then you are in the wrong help forum:
