I deleted tracihalpin.com but I didn’t get a confirmation email. I know it is visible until July 7th when my domain runs out. Is that why I didn’t get an email? I also sent you a similar question based on the blog that was from the writing assignments you offered; I never posted anything on that blog.

Every custom domain which is mapped here must have an underlying WordPressdotcom domain to map it to. Yours appears to be tracihalpin.wordpress.com.
However,
tracihalpin.wordpress.com is no longer available.The authors have deleted this site.
When looking for tracihalpin.com I get an error message saying
Warning! Domain mapping upgrade for this domain not found. Please log in and go to the Domains Upgrades page of your blog to use this domain.
If you want to use that domain name somewhere else, please come back here and add the MODLOOK tag to the Tags section of the forum thread sidebar for Staff assistance since you no longer have access to your domain dashboard.
If you want to entirely cancel the custom domain name you purchased through WordPressdotcom (which is past the refund date), you will still need Staff assistance to do so.

Again, please confirm that you understand that if you cancel the custom domain you will not be able to recover it and use it somewhere else on the web. (You should never cancel a registered custom domain that you want to use.)

I did not see my purchases. It says you don’t have a site. I put that word in the tag box, not sure if I did it right.

I’m having trouble understanding how to do this. Can I just let the domain expire on July 7th?

One thing that I do think bears mentioning:
do you have any intention of ever using the canceled domain again? If you are canceling because you are hoping to re-register the domain right away at a different webhost, I have to let you know that is a bad idea. Canceled domains tend to be held by the domain registrar as an anti-fraud measure. It can be some time before they are released to be registered again. And in some cases, even after being released, they are swiped by domain squatters before the original user is able to register them.
If you intend to use the domain again, I would encourage you to let me try and reverse the cancellation and then use these instructions to point the domain to a new webhost:
But if you have no intention of using the domain again, feel free to ignore all this!
