Deleting blog

  I am trying to create a new blog that I do not want associated with my current blogs. I have accidentally created a duplicate of the new blog. How do I:
  1.) Delete the duplicate blog that I do not wish to maintain, and
  2.) Ensure that the new blog is not associated with my current blogs? e.g. on the post preview, it shows, “Posted on 8/25/14 by (name of current blog instead of the new blog name)”

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  1) delete blogs from the dashboard Tools page. Note this is permanent and irreversible and the URL can never be used again.

  2) create the new blog from a completely separate username/account.

  At the top right of your page, hover over your avatar image and select “Manage my blogs”. You should see a list of blogs that belong to you, including the duplicate one.

  Under the blog you want to delete, click “Dashboard”. Once you’re in there (and you’re absolutely sure that’s the blog you want to delete), choose Tools – Delete Site and follow the instructions.

  If you want to create a brand new blog that is completely independent from your current blog(s), you should log out, create a brand new user account and use that to create the new blog. That one will then not be associated with your southernseamuse blog.

  Okay, now while trying to set up a new blog under a separate identity, no matter how I navigate to the WP “create blog” site, it tells me, “Welcome back!” and gives my original blog info.

  How can I create a separate username/account?

  You need to make sure you’re logged out from one account and logged in with the other.

  One way of doing that, is to use one browser (Chrome, for example) for one user account and a completely different browser (IE, Firefox) for another account.

  It’s a bit tedious to work like that constantly, but that way you won’t get any issues with sessions or cookies or anything and having two accounts “mixed up”, so it’s perfect for just setting up separate accounts/blogs.
