Deleting Blogs but Keeping Username?

Hi guys;
I am looking to delete the content in my username, but not the actual username itself; aka, the blogs inside need to be deleted and restarted. Any help would be much appreciated.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to reuse its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).
If that’s not what you want to do, you can instead:
Change your site’s address and keep your content
Delete old posts and continue using the same address
Empty your site of all its content for a fresh start and continue using the same address
Transfer your site to someone else
Make your site private so only people you invite can see it -

I feel really confused; by deleting a site permanently will I still be able to log in, and create a [i]new[/i] blog, or does deleting the site effectively delete the username?I have three blogs under my dashboard; I’m looking to delete two of them. Which steps do I need to take in order to do this?

Deleting one (or all) of your blogs won’t delete your account (your username) which is associated with the email address you signed up with.
If you never ever want to use that blog name (url) ever again, then follow the link I provided above.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/If you are wanting to delete a blog to remove it from search engines, keep in mind that deleting it will not remove its cached version for some time. And if it’s on the Way Back archives it will still be visible.

The reason I’m cautioning you about deleting a blog is that I see lots of questions from folks about wanting to reactivate a deleted url and they are sad that it is impossible.
Also, it’s useful to have a private test blog so you can experiment with different themes or widgets or whatever while not disrupting how your main public blog looks.

Thanks again for all your help. I hear you on the cautioning advice, and it’s much appreciated. The reason I wanted to delete a blog was simply because it was created whilst I was figuring out what various elements of wordpress did; it’s not actually ever going to be used! Thank you again, though, for all your help – I’ve successfully managed to delete said blog, turned out I was being a bit of an idiot (LOL).
That private test blog is a great idea; I think I’ll be taking you up on that advice!!! Enjoy the rest of your day, and thanks again for all your help!
