Deleting categories

  I am spring cleaning my blog posts and I have emptied out a category I no longer use and now want to delete it. How do I go about doing this? The contents of that category have been deleted already so I just need to delete that category title from my list. I hope someone can explain how without being too technical please?

  Hey

  You can manage your categories from the Posts -> Categories page. You can get there quickly by going to https://phoenixrainez.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category. Once you have arrived on this page, you can hover over the category you want to remove with your mouse. Edit | Quick Edit | Delete | View should appear below the category name. Just click Delete and your category should be removed.

  Thank you so much for you help. It all worked and I was able to delete the unused categories.
