Deleting categories

  Hi there
  Sorry to bother you with a topic which seems to be an easy topic but it is a nightmare. I found a lot of posts regarding deleting categories. But I cannot do it the way how it is described.

  Can anybody explain it to me how I can delete a category?

  Hi there!

  Here is the easiest way I know of to do that:

  1. Go to the WP Admin (in the lefthand menu near the bottom from the home page.)

  2. In the WP Admin (It should have a black menu across the top and down the left side.) hover over “posts” and select “categories”

  3. Your categories will appear in the column on the right. When you hover over a column there will be an option for “delete” in red.
