Deleting Categories

  I want to delete categories that I do not need but have a hard time trying to figure that out. Is there an option for that on a free domain? If so, how can I delete categories I do not want?

  Here’s info on deleting categories: https://en.support.wordpress.com/posts/categories/2/

  If you go to Post > Categories and mouse over a specific category, you will see the option to delete it. Any posts from that specific category will then be assigned to your default category.
