Deleting Categories

  I am trying to delete the category Digital Photography WOOHOO from my site. How can I do this?

  I have the same question. Is there no way to do this from the Dashboard?
  Example: I have a Post with categories where one category got duplicated. I can see no way to delete the duplicate.
  If I edit the Post I can see (in the right-hand side menu) a list of my categories and the option to Add New Category (and specify a Parent Category). But I can find no option to delete a category. And by delete I don’t mean remove the category from a given posting but to delete it entirely.
  I am new to building sites in WordPress and have the “Coming Soon” mode active so my site is not accessible.

  dalasoubra17 – Yes, you can delete that category. Use this link: https://dalasoubra.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

  Towards the right hand side of the page you’ll see the bulk actions. Select the category and delete if you are certain. Write back with any other questions.

  Thank you, I did find it in the Dashboard under Posts > Categories then Bulk Actions. Thanks!
