deleting comenst from galleryin wordepress 2010 weaver

Hi I own jamiestlouis.com and I want to take the commenting feature down from my gallery. For some odd reason when I updated to a newer version of 2010 weaver a few years ago suddenly there was a comment feature in the gallery that I can not turn off.
Please help I am being spammed with spam comments and I need to stop it.
