deleting comments on other blogs

why can you not delete comments you left on other blogs?
this is so old fashioned.
you can do this on every other site.
what you write is your own intellectual property not the blog owners?
how do i make an official complaint about this to the word press managers without getting legal advice? -

Because the comments often form a discussion, especially in blogs where multi-level comments are allowed. Deleting or editing comments is not usual in discussion forums – imagine if you left a comment on a blog saying “Some people think that Lady Gaga is sexy” and some people said “I agree”, and so on then you deleted it – or even worse changed it to “I think Angela Merkel is sexy”!

That depends on the comment policy of the individual blog. Mine says:
My whole blog is released under the Creative Commons “Share Alike” license. By posting a comment on this blog you are deemed to have release comments under the same license. You retain copyright but people may quote or reuse the material for non-commercial purposes.
You will mostly retain copyright but grant the blog owners rights too. Some blogs have no comment policy, in this case you may be able to argue with the owners that they should delete it – though I expect (IANAL) posting in a public forum would be seen as putting something in the public domain anyway.how do i make an official complaint about this to the word press managers without getting legal advice?
I will mark this post for staff attention, though it may take a while for them to get round to viewing it
