deleting content but not site

I set this account up as an assignment for a class I was taking in college, but have since left it alone. I want to restart it. I’ve already taken care of updating my information such as my username and site title and all, but I can’t figure out how to delete all of the content so I can start with fresh content.

You need to empty your site which will delete all your site contents.

I’ve made a few attempts that way, but navigating is so confusing. I think it might just be easier to start entirely over with the information I’m already using.
