  How may I delete my current blog but retain the URL?

  @mindruca – you want to empty your site of content – if you delete the site the URL will be lost forever

  You can delete all your post, pages, images, in that way you can empty
  your site and retain your URL.

  @fdhly- Following the instructions in that Support doc will delete the entire site including the site URL, which cannot be recovered.
