deleting default picture and wording

    I set up my site with a nice picture and title and all. But just under it is ‘The Journey Begins’, some other wording and a picture that looks like a person drowning. Kind of how I feel right now. I don’t want that stuff, but I can’t find a way to get rid of it. Isn’t there some kind of delete function?
