Deleting Domain, how long until it’s available again

    I have decided its cheaper and a better fit to change my hosting to another hosting site. Transferring my domain seemed confusing and costed money so I figured id just delete my wordpress domain and then buy it again on the other hosting site. When will the deleted domain be released from wordpress to open it in the other site? How long does that process take? It’s taking longer than I thought.. maybe i should have just transferred it.

    Yes I started a transfer but thought maybe deleting it make it easier to pick it back up with hostgator instead. But it took longer than I expected to be released so I initiated the transfer Instead. But now I need the server backup transfer from WordPress to HostGator to have my domain YoloTravelSolo.com back . Can you help with this?

    I initiated the transfer but the domain is parked needing WordPress to send the needed data from the server.

    Hi there,

    I can confirm that a transfer is in progress, and there is nothing holding it up on this end. Transfers are not instantaneous though, and can take 24-48 hours to complete. At this point the process is automated and your new registrar will be able to confirm as well as update you on status. Thanks!
