Deleting Fake Followers

  I have a (probably fake) follower on my site called Bikinipink. I don’t want anything to do with Bikinipink, but I cannot delete BP from my list of Followers. I’d be grateful for any advice.

  Hi there, please head to this URL and then find that specific user. From there, you can click the red “Remove” button to remove them as a follower: https://wordpress.com/people/followers/simonatchinamancreek.wordpress.com/

  Thanks for the help: I need to clarify my predicament:

  When I click “Remove”, the Follower in question remains “unremoved”, and the whole site tends to freeze: I can’t exit from the “Followers” section, and I can’t exit from my site in the normal fashion. This is why I am concerned about the presence of this Follower. I have deleted other suspicious Followers before, but have never encountered this phenomenon of non-removal!

  Hi Simon,

  What you describe looks like an issue with your browser rather than having something to do with a fake follower.

  Can you please clear your browser’s cache or even use another browser and try removing them again?
