Deleting image from media library

  Hello

  If I have inserted an image into my blog via the ‘add media’ option, meaning it has been added from the media library, will the image within the individual blog post be removed if I delete the image from the media library?

  Basically, I want to purge my media library but I do not want the images to be removed from the blog posts.

  Yes, it will. Any images displayed on the site that are linked to the media library will disappear if you delete them from the media library. Why do you want to purge the media library?

  You’re welcome. I understand. : -)

  Three possible options:

  1. Add storage space.
  2. Delete some media files from the library.
  3. Replace some media files with smaller versions. Reducing the size of files must be done externally. So the process would involving deleting old files and reloading new, smaller ones.
