Please make sure the media file has been deleted and is producing a “404 page not found”. To keep things running quickly around here, files are held in multiple caches through a separate system. These caches are usually cleared within 3 days.
IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blogs and/or blog content does not remove any indexed items from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months. Please see https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/1663419?hl=en

Hi there,
The image at http://sarathrap.files.wordpress.com/2013/01/mysore-palace.jpg has been fully removed from our servers. If you haven’t yet, please clear the image cache on your own browser to ensure that when you visit the image you aren’t seeing a local version (you can verify this by pulling it up with another browser which you’ve never used to view this image).
