Deleting Images from Media Library but not blog

    If I delete images from my media library, are they then also deleted from the rest of the blog?

    I want to have a gallery of completed projects (which will be a lot of images, almost all .jpg), but as I add more does this mean I have to delete the originals from the media library AND the blog?

    Howdy,

    Yes, images displayed on your blog are simply referenced by the particular posts, but actually stored in the Media Library. If you delete an image from the Media Library, it’ll be removed from any post or page that has included it.

    You don’t need to delete images from the Media Library at all. You have 3 GB of space to use (which you’re well under right now). If you exceed that space, we offer space upgrades to give you more storage space (or you could then delete it from both your blog and Media Library).
