deleting incoming links
-
There has to be a way to block or delete unwanted incoming links to one’s page!
But, how to do that? There is an incoming link to a site I co-manage coming from a site that is absolutely
not wanted…Please, help!!
-
We need a link to your wordpress.COM blog to help. And consider linking it in your user name as explained in the sticky, 8 Things, at the top of the forum.
-
Here is a tutorial I wrote for linking your user name to your blog.
How to link your name to your blog -
In terms of the links that you are getting, they are trackbacks or pingbacks. Just head to your “settings” and then “discussion” for moderation on these types of incoming links. Ones that are already approved are in the “comments” section. If you are not hosted with wordpress.com, you might want to head over to the http://wordpress.org/support/ forums in the future as well.

Thanx for your replies!
In this case I do know very well the person who is making this incoming link, and this makes me even more anxious to get rid off this incoming link asap!I cannot find a settings section to follow your hints Trent.

In your dashboard (admin) it is a button on the top right hand side. It is “Settings”.

First of all, you still haven’t provided a link to your blog.
Second of all, why do you want to delete your incoming links? If you mean the ones on your dashboard, they help you keep track of who is linking to you. If you’re talking about your trackbacks and pingbacks, they do that too. If you don’t want others to link to your blog, make it private. If you want your links removed from another site, you must contact them and ask for the removal yourself.
