Deleting my account

    Hello,

    I’d like to delete my account from wordpress. I no longer use wordpress, and I am doing a purge of some of my old data from various sites.

    Can you please delete this account? The steps you listed in your help article for deleting an account were not very helpful.

    Quote from that page –

    If you wish to leave WordPress.com, you can easily empty and delete your site. Once this is done remove all personal information from your Account Settings and change your password to a random string. This will leave your account inactive and prevent you from gaining access to it in the future.

    This means, you cannot delete a WP.com account but you can simply enter dummy data in your account and then leave it. Your original data will be erased/overwritten by the new dummy data.
