Deleting my site

  I am not tech savvy.

  When trying to delete my site I get this: “Warning! You cannot delete a site if it has a domain registration upgrade because you need access to the site in order to get to the domain manager.”

  The WP support instructions did not help me and confused me more. Can someone please please give me easy instructions?

  Why is it so hard to delete site? I own my site and domain.

  If I registered with GoDaddy, I no longer have that info.

  You’re welcome and not to worry as Staff will assist by removing the domain mapping as soon as they can.

  Yes you are waiting in line with everyone else. Staff deal with the threads with the earliest datesatmps and times stamps first, as would be expected. Please do not post into this thread gain until after they work their way to this thread and reply to you as that moves the timestamp forward and means it takes longer to get help.

  Your site csankyart.wordpress.com has the custom domain csankyart.com registered and mapped to it. This domain is set to expire on November 24, 2014.

  If you no longer want this domain, I’m happy to cancel it for you. However, you should know that by canceling this domain you completely give up ownership of it and it may not become available for use again in the future. If you want to keep using this domain, you should not cancel it.

  If you’d like to use this domain with a site that is not hosted at WordPress.com, you have a couple of options.

  1. You can change the DNS records and point it to your new site. This will mean that you will need to continue to maintain your WordPress.com account and site. You’ll also need to keep your domain registration and mapping active through us.
