Deleting my website

  Hi there,

  I am trying to delete my website and when i go to it says i have active premium upgrade please cancel them before i delete my site. I have no active upgrades that i know of and i need this site removed as the project is know longer going ahead.

  The quickest way to request a refund for your premium upgrade may be to follow this guide: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

  Did you purchase a premium theme at some point?

  Premium themes must be either (1) removed by Staff or (2) transferred by them to another of your sites registered under the same WordPress.COM username account.

  Which is the two options do you select please?

  Hi there, thank you for the replies. although it says i need to cancel active upgrades initially when I follow the prompts there is no evidence of any premium upgrades in my history. To my knowledge we never purchased anything extra and there is nothing to cancel when i follow the links.

  Also whilst im working this out i have set my site to private yet it hasn’t gone off line yet :/

  Hi there,

  While you are an admin on the site and have the ability to delete it, you are not the owner of the site. The site belongs to the username account, writerookie, and that user owns a domain mapping upgrade on the site. That user will first need to cancel that upgrade before either of you can delete the site.

  I cannot remove an upgrade that belongs to a different user on the site at your request.

  Also whilst im working this out i have set my site to private yet it hasn’t gone off line yet :/

  That site is set to private, but as you’re logged in as an admin on the site it will still be visible for you. If you view the site in an incognito/private browser window you won’t be able to see it.
