Deleting my website

Hi there,
This support document will help explain how to delete your site, if you choose. There are other options as well.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/delete-site/Please know that once you choose to delete your site, the address/url will become unavailable for you or anyone else to use in the near future, if at all.
The user account itself cannot be deleted. It is set up that way to help prevent someone else from gaining access to your site and pretending to be you.
If you want to get rid of your account details, follow this link and remove all personal information from your account.
https://wordpress.com/me/account
Change your email address to a throwaway address and change the password to something random that you won’t remember to prevent you from gaining access to it in the future. Or, you can just block all emails and keep the account dormant in case you may want to use it again in the future.
To hide your Gravatar profile:

Hope that helps.

Brian,
You’re welcome. :)
Are you asking about https://iambrianobrien.wordpress.com ?
If so, that site is showing as being deleted by the author, which means you have been successful at deleting.

Hi Mariah,
yes thats the site. However when i google it, It still appears to show. Does this mean that the site is visible to people?
I’m still receiving email notifications about the site. be it comments on videos etc. Does this mean that its not completely deleted? (if theres such a thing) -

WordPress doesn’t have control of what becomes indexed by search engines. It takes some time for it to be updated to reflect the site has been deleted. If you go here, you can read more about it, as well as request removal from Google. https://en.support.wordpress.com/search-engines/
In regards to your account and/or emails, please refer to the information here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/deleting-accounts/
You could also refer to the information provided in my first reply for a bit more explanation.Hope that helps.
