Deleting my wordpress blog

I wish to start over under a different section (currently it is fiction and I want to start over under the personal and random thoughts section). If I delete my site (I haven’t bought the domain), can I make another site with the same domain?

You have the option of deleting all content and starting over from scratch.
https://en.support.wordpress.com/empty-site/It looks as though the site you provided has been deleted by author. Unfortunately, that address/url will no longer be available for you or anyone else to use for quite some time, if at all.
In the future, you have the option to rename a site and keep both names. The old content will be moved over to the new name, and the old name will be empty.
