Deleting my WordPress site
-
Hello. I began creating a WordPress site: https://thesustainablerunway.wordpress.com, however I ran in to some formatting issues so I ended up creating a new site altogether: https://thesustainablerunway461394298.wordpress.com. I would like to delete the first account but transfer the name to the active one https://thesustainablerunway461394298.wordpress.com so that the numbers disappear and it reads fluidly ‘https://thesustainablerunway.wordpress.com’. How can I do this – or is this something that you could assist me with (PLEASE). This is time sensitive because it is a college project and if I am able to do this then I intend to keep this account active beyond this class and will probably upgrade my WordPress acct and link my domain http://www.thesustainablerunway.com to my WordPress. Please let me know as soon as possible.
Kindly,
JR

Hi JR, deleting the site actually gets rid of the address rather than freeing it up.
You definitely can move the content to the site you want, though. Here’s what I’d recommend:
– On the site with the name you like, activate the Coutoire theme
– Click here and select the site with the good content:
https://wordpress.com/export/– Use that file to import into the site with the good name:
https://wordpress.com/import/Can you give that a shot?
