Deleting old images
-
Hello,
I’ve recently started a WordPress .com blog for a new business. When I started the blog mylogo was not ready so I uploaded a generic photo.
My logo is now complete and I’ve uploaded to my blog. I removed the old image but when I add my posts to other social media sites the generic picture shows up and not my new logo.
Did I miss something when deleting the generic image? It doesn’t show in my media files or general settings but still appears on my posts.
Any help is appreciated!!!
Paul

Hi Paul!
Does the old logo appear anywhere on your WP site at all? It sounds like it’s only showing up when you share your WP work elsewhere – could it be that you have updated everything on your WP site, but your Gravatar (That’s Globally Recognized Avatar) is still set to the old photo? Check that here:

Hi Saouderkirk,
Thank you. It’s not my Gravatar, I’m sure of that. I’ve checked it numerous times now.
I did delete the image from my main photo for my blog when I got my logo completed. I went through my media images and it’s not there either.
I cannot find the image on my profile anywhere but when I add posts to other social media streams my logo doesn’t appear but the old image does.
I cannot find the image anywhere else to delete it.
Paul
