Deleting Old WordPress Site Url

Hi. I wanna delete my old wordpress url which is (ibwordpresscom.wordpress.com). If I do it wont affect my current url address right
And also I wanna move one of my pages further up on the menu. Just that one page. How would I do that

Hi @koolbeanz247, here’s a video that shows how to mange your menus:
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/You can delete your site at https://wordpress.com/settings. Just know if you delete it, you will not be able to use the address again. Deleting it deactivates the address for at least 2 years. Better to make the site private if you might change your mind.

@koolbeanz247 If you’re using images from the old site on the new one, it may cause issues, so you might try making the site private for a while first. Then you can always delete it later.

Im not using images from the old site. I just wanna know if i delete my old site url address will it affect my current site url address. Thats all Im asking

To delete your site, click on My Sites ->Switch Site and select the site which you want to delete. Then click on Settings. The Delete Site option is at the bottom of that page.
There are several confirmation steps to delete the site, including typing in the full address of the site you want to delete, so as long as you pay attention to the on-screen warnings you won’t delete the wrong site.
On what site are you seeing the ads? We don’t serve pop-up ads on WordPress.com, so it’s possible those ads could be coming from an add-on in your browser, or from malware on your computer.

Yes im still seeing the ads on my ibstayfly.wordpress.com site. I dont know why

As that is a free site you should be seeing some ads – below the content on the home page, and on the single-post view of any posts, but they should not be pop-ups.
Can you please tell me what type of device you’re using, and in which browser you’re seeing the ads? It would also be helpful if you can take a screen shot of the ad and upload it to your media library for me at My Site ->Media.

The WordPress.com mobile app does not show any advertising, period. We only show ads when you view the site in your mobile browser, and as I said above, there shouldn’t be any pop-up ads.
Can you please upload a screen shot for me of the ads you’re seeing? We can’t do anything if we can’t see the ads in question, but this sounds like they might be coming from a different source on your mobile device.
