Deleting one blog from my blogs

Hello;
I don’t want to make a huge mistake and delete my main blog, but I added another blog to my blogs and I decided not to go ahead with it, so I want to delete it, without affecting my existing blog. I haven’t been able to find a ‘clear’ enough answer as to how to do this. I know there are instructions on, what’s called, deleting a ‘site’, but this is not clear enough. I want to delete just one blog, not all the blogs on my site. Maybe the words ‘blog’ and ‘site’ are being used to identify the same thing here, but I absolutely have to be sure. I have a ton of stuff on my main blog and I definitely do not want to lose it.

This is semantics. Every blog is a site (website). No matter how many blogs (sites) you delete there is no effects on any other blogs (sites) even if they are registered under the same username.
To delete a free hosted WordPress.COM blog you must be logged in under the exact same username account that registered a blog to delete the blog. To prevent accidental or inadvertent deletion of blogs, there are multiple warnings given that blog deletion is permanent and irreversible. Lastly, a verification link is sent in an email and must be clicked to delete a blog. If clicking that link does not work then copy and paste it into your upper browser window and click.

Deleted blog URLs are not recycled, regardless of who registered and deleted them and no exceptions are made.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Deleting blog content and deleting blogs does not remove any indexed content from the SERPs (search engine page results). Google and Bing only clear their caches of deleted indexed content that produces a 404 (page not found) every 3 – 6 months.

If you are referring to a Post as a Blog and you want to delete a Post then go to Dashboard – Posts – All Posts
locate the Post title and hover over it and click the Trash link.
