Deleting original blog but keeping others

  • Unknown's avatar

When I first set up my WordPress account it was with the blog site secretdoctrine.wordpress.com but later I stopped updating this site and set up blavatskytheosophy.wordpress.com (now http://www.blavatskytheosophy.com) as my main and regularly active site instead.

I’m now thinking of deleting secretdoctrine.wordpress.com but before I do I have two questions which I can’t find answers to anywhere: (1) Is it possible to have that address redirect visitors automatically to blavatskytheosophy.com? If so, how can I set that up? (2) If that’s not possible, would my actual deletion of secretdoctrine.wordpress.com affect my other site in any way or affect my WordPress username/ID etc., seeing as this is “secretdoctrine” and was set up at the same time as that initial blog site? If I get rid of the secretdoctrine site, do I still get to keep the “secretdoctrine” ID and username without any problems or difficulties?

Thank you in advance for any answers and help in this regard.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

You would need to purchase the Site Redirect upgrade in order to do that.

No, it will not affect anything. However, if you are concerned about it, you could just set that original site to be “private” so that nobody could access it.
