Deleting photo and replacing

Hi, I wanted to change the order of 5 photo posts, make the most recent photo in the series the “oldest”. I figured out how to delete the visual image. Then I pressed the upload button and uploaded the photo I wanted there from my computer. I saved and updated/published but nothing happened. When I tried this several time, I was generating a gallery. I just wanted one photo. Where did I go wrong?

After you upload multiple photos in one post and save the changes, the Image Uploader automattically switches to the Gallery tab. Just ignore it and switch to the Media Library tab in the uploader and insert your image normally. http://en.support.wordpress.com/images/
Be aware that when you upload images to a particular post or page, they become attached to that particular post or page. It might be a good thing or not, depending on what you want to do with those other images.
