Deleting photos to create more space
-
WordPress says that i have no more space to upload photos and that I need to delete files to create more space. I have already deleted several hundred photos, but it will not allow me to upload any more. I do not want to upgrade. Why isn’t it showing me that I have space to be able to upload more photos.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi!
It looks like you had the 10GB space upgrade active on your site previously. With that upgrade, your upload limit is bumped up to 13GB. Without it, you’re set at 3GB. When you had the extra space, you far exceeded the normal 3GB limit. Currently, you’ve uploaded just over 6GB of images to your site. You’ll need to bring that down under 3GB in order to upload additional files.
Please note, if you delete an image from your Media Library, it will be simultaneously get removed from any posts or pages. You’ll see a broken link instead of the image in those places.

I understand that I am limited to only 3 GB. However, I did not know that by deleting photos from my photo library that they would simultaneously be deleted from my posts. I have already deleted several hundred photos, thinking that this would create more space in my photo library. Is there any way to restore these photos to my blog posts? To go back and upload them all again would take a long time.

I’m really sorry – there isn’t a way to restore these images once they’ve been deleted. I apologize! You will need to reupload the images to your posts. If you would like additional space for uploading, I would suggest purchasing the space upgrade here:
