Deleting Posts

I’m helping someone set up a blog at the below link and created a post to test the font colours in CSS. I deleted the post after I did this and it’s gone from the home page. However if you click on any of the links on the side bar like Categories it still appears under New Posts.
Sorry if this has been asked before.

It’s gotten worse now, it’s showing up pretty much everywhere. It’s titled Font Colour Test and I’ve checked everywhere in the Dashboard and it has been erased but still shows up under Recent Posts. I’ve tried it on someone else computer and on different browsers too so haven’t got a clue about what’s wrong.

Usually when you delete a post it’s gone forever. However, now and then you may get lucky.
http://faq.wordpress.com/2006/05/30/i-just-pressed-delete-by-accident/To avoid facing such a problem in the future you could use an off-line blog editor to write your posts in and also use it to publish them directly to your blog. The advantage of doing this is that you will always have a back-up copy of every post. Here are links to downloads for off-line blog editors.
