Deleting Proudly Powered by WordPress text.
-
Hi there, I am new to this forum. I would like to know how I can remove the ‘Proudly Powered By WordPress’ text from the sidebar of a site I am in the process of putting together. The theme I am using is ‘Chateau’ and I have searched for the footer.php in the code, but I am unable to find it. I like the full width template option in this theme, but the “Proudly Powered By ….’ text gets mixed up with other words at the top of the pages . In the default template option, the ‘Proudly Powered By ….’ text seems to behave itself, although it is half way up the pages with a black line running across the page and not at the bottom as one can see by following this link to the site: http://www.camelvoyages.com
Any help would be gratefully received and many thanks in advance. voicebox100The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there,
This is the WordPress.COM support forum. You need to post to the WordPress.ORG support forum for help with that site because it is not hosted by WordPress.COM. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and have different logins, features and run different versions of some themes with the same names http://support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.
