deleting reply box on static pages

  Hi! I want to use WordPress.com to create a website. My top priority currently is to delete some of the reply boxes that are at the footer of every page. I want only my blog page to have the reply box. I would like my remaining static pages NOT to have a reply box. Is this something that WP support must override, or can I somehow take care of this myself? I’ve gone to my dashboard into settings > discussion and tried to correct this there, to no avail. Thanks in advance for your help.
