    Hello,
I am Justus Mahn, Pastor and administrator of the protestant-lutheran congregation of Aufenau, Germany.
We need the Website https://lutherinaufenau.wordpress.com/ to be deleted.

It is an old Website of our congregation (Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirchengemeinde Aufenau). It was built by my predecessor, who has been the pastor of our congretgation till 2016: Pastor Matthias Fischer, who also runs the Website https://matthiasfischer.wordpress.com/. Since 2016 he is not an official representative of our congregation anymore.

I asked him to delete our congregations blog. He told me he did a few months ago, but it’s still running. He says he doesn’t know what else he could do.
He also added me as an editor to his private weblog, because he thought I could manage and delete our congregations website this way.
After all I don’t have access to our congregations website lutherinaufenau.wordpress.com

Could anybody delete the website or allow me to access the website (as you can see it hasn’t been updated since September 2015)?

    Kind regards,
    Pastor Justus Mahn
    Evangelisch-Lutherische Kirchengemeinde Aufenau

    dear Pastor Justus,

Can you these instructions to Pastor Matthias ?

    1. Click on My Site > Switch Site and select the site you want to delete.
    2. Click on Settings. The Delete Site option is at the bottom of that page.

Deleting a site permanently removes it and you will not be able to re-use its WordPress.com address.

    Delete a Website

Alternatively, you could ask Pastor Matthias to transfer the site to your account by following the instructions in this Support page:
    https://en.support.wordpress.com/transferring-a-site-to-another-wordpress-com-account/
Then you can delete the site.

Let us know if you have more questions.

    Hi there,

Sites can only be deleted by the owner, which is why you don’t see the option to do so as an Editor. lutherinaufenau.wordpress.com was never deleted by the owner and if they would like some help, please ask Matthias to login and reply here.

If they are no longer able to login to their account, they can fill out the account recovery form instead:

    Recover Your Account

Please let me know if you have any questions.
