Deleting “Search” from Freshy theme using css
-
I currently use the freshy theme and am wondering how to delete the search navigation on the right hand side bar on the main page. Does anyone have any suggestions? thank you so much! I have custom css.

You don’t need custom CSS to do this. Simply go to Design, then Widgets, and include in the sidebar only the widgets you want.
I feel a little guilty about the above, because I think there are very few blogs (or web sites of any type) that are not much better with a search function than without. And I should probably have asked you for a link to your wordpress.com blog, but your reference to Custom CSS made me realize that your blog really is hosted here, and my super detective skills enabled me to track it down. -
Thank you andrew for your prompt reply- I have been unavailable but appreciate your response. I did as you said, but it does not work with the freshy theme. It currently states that I have 0 widgets in the sidebar yet the search bar is still in tact. You can see my blog at studioamh2.wordpress.com. Any new ideas?

The Freshy theme has the search built in, unless I’m mistaken. There are a couple like that. Afraid I don’t know how to hide it then.
Have you tried moving widgets in your sidebar around? If you take one out or put one in for the very first time, the sidebar resets to zero and you don’t have ANY widgets. Before that point, you have the default set of widgets. So try that first.

It’s not built-in in Freshy. Just do as raincoaster says: if you add any widget, the preset ones go.
