Deleting site

  I would like to delete my site but it says manage purchases before doing so. There is a purchase which never expires on my account and I am unable to delete it, therefore unable to delete the site.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  It appears that the URL you have linked is not hosted with WordPress.com. If you wish to delete your site you will need to contact your provider.

  If it is your WordPress.com account, or another site associated with this account, you are looking to delete here are some links regarding this:

  Hi @thepulsebyme, I actually do see a site here with a paid theme on it. I assume that’s the one you want to delete?

  If we remove the theme for you, you won’t be able to get it back. Also if you delete the site, its name will not become available again, so do not use that option to “start over”.

  If you’ll confirm you understand, we’ll go ahead and remove the theme for you.

  Hello, yes please go ahead and delete this paid theme.

  I would like to delete the site completely and also redirect the link to my new blog.

  We can’t redirect a deleted site, so I recommend just adding this instead:
  https://wordpress.com/domains/add/site-redirect/

  Hello, I went for the above option. I put in the correct URL I want to redirect to: http://www.cwt-meetings-events.com/content/me/global/en/the-blog.html

  But when it redirects, it automatically adds “/” onto the end of the URL – creating a broken link: http://www.cwt-meetings-events.com/content/me/global/en/the-blog.html/

  Please can you fix this?

  @thepulsebyme the site redirect will redirect a link like this:
  anysite.wordpress.com/2017/07/link-like-this

  to

  thenewsite.com/2017/07/link-like-this .

  If that link doesn’t exist on the new site, someone who is looking for that article would indeed get an error.

  Did you copy the content from the old site to the new one?
