Hi there! I am desperately trying to delete my WordPress. I have a custom domain and no matter what I read, the instructions do not match what I see. Please help!

Hello there, just to clarify, you wish to completely remove your WordPress.com site including its content and your “user-name.wordpress.com” address?
If yes, you may delete the site by following the steps in below article.
Note from the article: Deleting a site permanently removes it and you’ll never be able to re-use its WordPress.com address (such as yourgroovysite.wordpress.com).

So, I don’t see the “my sites” option. My website does not show that. Mine is the black background with options {dashboard, jetpack, posts, media, etc].

Hello there, could you send us your site address? If your site is hosted elsewhere but not WordPress.com, it might be a self-hosted version and you need to contact your web hosting to have it removed.
