Deleting Site

  Hi,
  I accidentally created a new .wordpress.com site with the new name I want – amievilt.wordpress.com, when what I wanted was to change my original wordpress site to the new site name. There is nothing on the new site but it holds the name. It says if I delete it, this name will not be available for use in the future.

  How can I merge the two sites so I can keep the name amievilt.wordpress.com, but keep the content of my old site?

  Hi Amie, once you create a new site with that name, it’s no longer possible to automatically rename the old site to the new address.

  But, you can export your content and import it into the new site. Here’s how to export:

  Export Your Website’s Content

  You’ll find the import tools near the export tools. You’ll just want to select the new site when importing, of course.
