deleting site

    Hi
    I am just trying to delete my wordpress site. I thought I had done it permanently, but it still turns up on my searches. I am worried that if I click the ‘permanently delete my account and all its sites’ button, ( which I ma sure I did last time) that my website will still be out there but I won’t be able to delete it without my account.
    Please advise.

    Hi there – I see you recently successfully deleted a site on your account with username chrisgroombridge.

    It’s common for search engines to continue to display URLs of deleted sites in the short-term. This is because search engines use cache to boost the speed of their results. Search engines refresh their saved cache quite regularly. Soon you should no longer see your old site URL in search engine results.

    You only need to delete the site. The rest is giving the search engines a little time to update their cache they use for listing search results.
