Deleting site

  As part of a group school project a few years ago, a wordpress site was created with information and pictures of all of our group members (including myself).

  Its been 4 years and the information is now dated.

  I want this site to be deleted. However, I did not create the site. I contacted the former classmate who created the site however he no longer has access to the email address used to create the site.

  If anyone can share some information on how I can get the site deleted that would be very appreciated. The site no longer serves any purpose.

  If your friend is unable to remember his login information, he can attempt an Account Recovery here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/account-recovery/

  Please remember (and let your friend know) that if you delete a site, then the site name can never be used again on WordPress.com.

  Hey there,

  To add onto what Ari said, only the site’s owner can delete the site. He’ll need to recover the ability to log into the site in order to make the deletion. He can also contact us directly if he needs further assistance with this.

  Thanks Ari and thatrobyn.

  The site owner signed up for his wordpress account with an email account that no longer exists. It was not tied to any other of his email accounts.

  He is not being helpful in deleting the site (we are not in regular contact and he is indifferent to the site).

  Are there any steps I can take on my own (without the site owner involved)?
