Deleting the current blog

  Hi,
  I’m experiencing issues while deleting an incomplete old project (project1981.wordpress.com). I’ve now got a host, HostGator, and I’m trying to build a new website using WordPress. Eventually it starts and I can work on the current website. But after a while (mostly when I log off) I end up with an error message. And then when I try to login using the WP credentials, I land up in the old project. When try to delete the old website using the link sent to my email address, I get an error message : Thank you. Please check your email for a link to confirm your action. Your site will not be deleted until this link is clicked.

  I’m little frustrated now. Can you please please help?

  New website (I try to build) : myproject1234.com
  Old website (I try delete) : project1981.com

  project1981.wordpress.com is no longer available.

  The authors have deleted this site.

  That WordPress.com site is deleted.

  On the other hand, http://project1981.com/ is a self-hosted WordPress.org site, so you’ll need to post in the WordPress.org forums for help in getting that deleted: http://wordpress.org/support/ If you don’t already have a username on that forum, click the register button in the upper right corner so you can post in that forum.

  This support forum is only for free WordPress.com blogs. WordPress.com and WordPress.org are completely separate and different: http://en.support.wordpress.com/com-vs-org/

  Thanks for the reply. I now got the confirmation that my project1981.wordpress.com is been deleted.

  Yesterday, I was working on my new site (myproject1234.com). I completed half the work and then called it a day. Today I find no trace of my work in WordPress under my username and password!!! I used http://myproject1234.com/wp-login.php to login to my account and complete the remaining work for my website.

  Could please let me where do I contact regarding this??

  As http://myproject1234.com/ is a self-hosted site, you’ll need to post in the WordPress.org forums, as we can’t help you with that here: http://wordpress.org/support/
